The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for the management programmes of its all business schools.The results of CAT 2009 will be available from Febraury 28th 2010 on the cat website.

CAT 2009 Exam Results Updates

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for the management programmes of its seven business schools.

The results of CAT 2009 will not be announced on 22 nd January 2010 as stated earlier and it will announced in the third week of Febraury 2010. The scores can be accessed by keying in the test registration number and either the date of birth (preferred) or the cat application number.



CAT-takers can also access their CAT-2009 scores by using SMS facility of mobile phones when the results are announced. Watch this space for more updates about Cat Exam results specially from Hyderabad, India

CAT 2009 Exams Complete Details

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 vouchers will be available at a branches of Axis Bank branches across India including Hyderabad from 9th September 2009 ( 09/09/09) to 1st October 2009 (01/10/2009) . This year entire CAT exam registration process and exam will be online through prometric.

Price/Cost of CAT Vouchers : 1400 indian rupees
Price/Cost of CAT Vouchers for SC/ST candidates : 700 rupees

Test Duration and Pattern:

The duration of the test is 2 hours and 30 minutes including initial 15 minute tutorial. No breaks will be given during the test. The test consists of questions that evaluate a candidate’s quantitative, verbal, and logical & data interpretive abilities. Therefore, there are a total of three sections in the test. There will be about 60 to 70 questions in the test.

CAT 2008 Results Announced

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for the management programmes of its seven business schools.

The results of CAT 2008 will be available from January 9th 2009 on the cat website. The scores can be accessed by keying in the test registration number and either the date of birth (preferred) or the cat application number.


CAT RESULTS by E-MAIL: Candidates who wish to get their results by e-mail should register themselves between October 24, 2008 and November 30, 2008 by sending an SMS to 57333 as follows: ?CAT registration number date of birth (ddmmyy) email id? Please note that only one e-mail id will be registered against a test registration number. Example:If TRno is 1234567 & DOB is 20-Feb-1986, then the msg format will be: CAT 1234567 200286 abc@rediffmail.com

IIM's CAT Exam

The Common Admission Test also known as CAT is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management also known as IIMs as an entrance test for the management programmes of its six business schools.

More than 230,000 in the year 2007 students have competed for about 1500 seats in the IIMs. Even with a top 1 percentile score, a candidate must also cross the equally stringent hurdles of a group discussion and an individual interview.

The CAT is one of the world's most demanding entrance examinations for any graduate institute. The canditate is expected to excel in arithmetical problem solving, geometry, statistics, data interpretation, logical reasoning in solving complex puzzles, and English language skills.The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are India's premier business schools that also conduct research and provide consultancy services in the field of management to various sectors of the Indian economy. The scores can be accessed by keying in the test registration number and entering the date of birth or the cat application number. The IIMs that have short listed the candidate for group discussion and interviews will also be displayed . However, the details of the date and venue will be available by post as well as on the individual IIMs web sites after a couple of days.

The scores can also be obtained telephonically through the IVRS or by sending an SMS to 57333 as follows: 'CAT registration number date of birth (dd/mm/yy)' or 'CAT space registration number application number" Example: CAT 5370082 030482. All these will be available from 3 PM on the 8th of January 2008
