GATE 2009 Examination Details

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering which is also known as GATE is an all-India competitive examination administered and conducted in eight zones across the country by the GATE Committee comprising faculty from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

2. Zone 2 - Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
3. Zone 3 - Indian Institute of Technology Delhi

5. Zone 5 - Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
6. Zone 6 - Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur
7. Zone 7 - Indian Institute of Technology Madras
8. Zone 8 - Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

GATE exam is eligibility criteria for Masters In Technology (M.tech ) degree under all IIT's , Regional Engineering Colleges ( REC ) and other top universities like Osmania University of Hyderabad and others.
