Urvashi first acted in TV commercial of Lux soap with actress Revathi at age six. She made her television acting debut, Though she really started acting after her first major appearance, as actor Vishal Singh's teenage love interest in comedy-TV series, Dekh Bhai Dekh (1993) at age 14, and she has been acting ever since. She had already acted in Zamana Badal Gaya, Mehndi Tere Naam Ki and serials like Ghar Ek Mandir and Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli, when she was offered the role of Komolika, part of the principal cast of Kasautii Zindagii Kay in 2001, the role made her one of most famous vamps on Indian television, in a series which ran till 2008. The role got attention not just for her acting as a crafty daughter-in-law, which soon "became an unofficial yardstick to rate bad women on TV", but also for the garish make-up, saris and characteristic bindi stylings of her characterUrvashi is best known for playing the villainous character, Komolika, in the Star Plus daily soap opera, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, which ran from 2001 to 2008.

Subsequently, she has been signed to do two more Tamil films, Thambikku Indha Ooru with Bharath, Aayiram Vilakku with Shanthnoo Bhagyarajand "Payanam" with Prakash Raj, Nagarjuna, Rishi and others.
2. NIKETAN MADHOK was eliminated on the last day of the show .  Niketan Madhok is a Model who has walked on ramp for famous Indian and International labels. He came into limelight after Lakme India Fashion Week 2002. Niketan Madhok started his career as a model in 1994 with shows in Mumbai and Bangalore. A year later he hit the Delhi ramp circuit. Niketan has worked with a lot of big names in the fashion industry like Rohit Bal, Rajiv Bajaj, Rohit Gandhi, J J Vallaya, Muzaffar Ali, Ashish Soni among others. He has walked the ramp at the Lakme India Fashion Week for a host of fashion designers including Rohit Bal, Aki Narula, Rocky S, and Ritu Kumar.

Other contestants like Kashif Qureshi from Hyderabad , Navjot Singh Sidhu , Santosh Shukla , Ashika , Niruhua , Sapna , Rajeev  , Vishal , Mink, Delnaaz and Karishma were seeing enjoying the finals along with famous personalities like Tushar Kapoor , Prabhu Deva and others.

MasterChef India Winner : Pankaj

Masterchef India 2010 winner is Pankaj Bhadouria .

Masterchef India 2010 winner will get a whopping 1 crores as the prize, a book and a TV show to host.Results were announced at glittery night by Akshay Kumar. Jayanandan got 1 vote and Pankaj got 2 votes .

Before the results were announced Katrina Kaif and  Farah Khan were the star attraction and were found promoting their moveie Tees Mar Khan. Katrina and Akshay tried their hands in a friendly contest to cook spanish omelet but Akshay tricked Katrina and added extra salt to her omelet without her knowledge.Akshay Kumar's tag line which was most in the entire show of Master Chef India was  'Tasty Dish Warna Game Finish'. MasterChef India was mentored and judged by the Super Star in a new avtaar, Akshay Kumar who in turn was helped by Ajay Chopra- the tough as old boots master judge and Kunal Kapoor- the man who romances with culinary delicacies.

Jayanandan was offered a Job in Hotel Leela at Gurgoan in the same event and he is expected to join the same soon.

Indian Idol 5 Winner

After much suspense , Sreeram wins Indian idol 5 .Hyderabad erupts with Joy and people were seen buring crackers on the streets in spite of drizzle here in Hyderbad.

Results were announced by Amitabh Bachan in presence of the trio judges Anu Malik , Sunidhi Chauhan and Salim Merchant. Before the announcement of Indian Idol 5 results , viewers were glad to see famous celebrities like Kareena Kapoor , Shankar Mahadevan , Alisha Chinoy, Kailash Kher, Anushka Sharma and Richa Sharma.The final contest was between Rakesh Maini , Bhoomi Trivedi and Sreeram.The Indian Idol show started at around 08:00 PM IST and the results were announced at 11:26 PM IST , many viewers were irritated with the number of ads in the between . Huge number of ads were of Kaun Banega Crorepati  - KBC which will be hosted by Amitabh Bachan on Sony Television , his teaser was asking people after the FATHER OF AKBAR and obviously the answer is Humayun

Sreeram won 50 lakh rupees , one year contract with Sony BMG, Tata Winger Car, Suzuki Bike and a chance to sing in Yashraj Movies.

IPL 2 Winners : Deccan Chargers - Hyderabad

Hyderabad's Deccan Chargers owned by Deccan Chronicle newspaper group staged a remarkable fightback to upstage Royal Challengers Bangalore owned by Vijay Mallya by six runs in a nail-biting final and win the second edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2) at Johannesburg on 25th may 2009 , sunday. Both the teams from southern Indian displayed superb performance but deccan chargers held their nerves and won the trophy.

Adam Gilchrist and his never-say-die Deccan Chargers teammates pipped Royal Challengers Bangalore to a modest 6 runs win, Bangalore could only score mere 139 for 9 in their quota of 20 overs. Pragyan Ojha was Hyderabad's most successful bowler, with figures of three for 28.Indeed bowlers of Deccan Chargers gave a superb performance despite Gilchrist failing to score in the final match.Symond must also be appreciated for all the talking he did during the match.Lets Hope on the lines of IPL 2 Final match victory Hyderabad will soon over take Bangalore in the IT sector too ..... lol .

It can also be accrued to fate that the two teams that occupied the bottom of the table in the inaugural edition contested the final this year. Both, along with Delhi Daredevils , qualify for the inaugural Champions League T20, to be held in India in October. Hyderabad's triumph meant that for the second year running an Australian captain lifted the coveted trophy. 

Bangalore's defeat also meant it was a day of double despair for their owner, Vijay Mallya . His F1 team, Force India, had earlier in the day at the Monaco Grand Prix failed to secure their maiden points in Formula One after coming desperately close -- Italian Giancarlo Fisichella finishing ninth. Other major dissappointment was Knight Riders from Kolkatta , Shahrukh khans (SRK) team which ended last in the points table. Mumbai had fair chance but due to injury of Zaheer Khan impacted them a lot and they could not recover. Other main controversy was the fake IPL blog which attracted lot readers as well as the media to it .

Earlier, a superb spell of bowling by Anil Kumble (4-0-16-4) helped Bangalore restrict the Chargers to a paltry 143 for 6. But no other bowler could do the trick as the legend kumble did. Herschelle Gibbs scored a superlative 53 not out off 48 balls (3x4, 2x6) to keep the Hyderabad challenge alive. The South African combined aggression with caution to good effect to anchor the team's innings to perfection after the early dismissal of Adam Gilchrist for zero. Owners of Deccan Chargers - Ram Reddy and others and the all the people from Hyderabad were too excited and were found celebrating on the roads and burning crackers. Lali Modi , commissioner of IPL 2 handed over the trophy to Adam Gilchrist and the entire team.

Three teams from the southern india were in the top four of this IPL season and delhi being from the north india.
