US Consulate @ Hyderabad starts VISA service
US consulate after much delay finally has started visa issuing services from 4 th March 2009 at Paigah Palace which located at Begumpet locality of Hyderabad , India . Interview appointments for all visas began from 4 th march 2009 according to the local news papers . And it is expected to process around 100 visas per day and gradually increasing to 400 visas per day. Currently these services will be only for the people from Andhra Pradesh.
According to unconfirmed reports maximum number of students who aspires to go to USA for further studies are from Andhra Pradesh. Moreover Hyderabad is turning out to be a major IT destination which has presence of many top US based companies like Microsoft , Yahoo , cognizant and others . Many of employees of these companies needs to visit frequently to US based on the requirements and starting of these consulate services is of much relief to them and are saved from travelling to Chennai for obtaining Visas .

Budget 2009 : My Wishlist
Annual budget for 2009 -2010 fiscal year will be presented on 16th Feb 2009 by our finance minister. Well I wish these are things which can be included in our 2009 budget too
Expecting tax/price cuts for this categories
- Computers and its peripheral devices, as it will encourage online transactions and shopping.
- CFL lights , as it will save electricity.
- Ticket price for public transport system.
- For companies who have atleast 25 % of their power consumption through solar energy .
- Broadband charges for all rural sectors.
- Green leafy vegetables and fruits.
- Educational books.
- CNG fuel.
- Shops which provide ample parking space.
- Medicines for major diseases.
- Sports goods , which requires physical exercise.
Expecting tax/price hike for this categories
- Two & three wheelers.
- Junk food.
- Soft & hard drinks.
- Five star restraurants and lounges .
- Cigarettes and cigars.
- Electricity charges for shopping malls, multiplex and hoardings.
- Branded clothes.
- Game CD's and DVD's
- Shops which do not provide ample parking space.
- High end electronic items.

Tax Planning India :FY 2009
End of Financial / Fiscal year is round the corner again and as usual we are suppossed to complete the tax planning as well as the investments well before 31 st March 2009 .You need to think about tax investments if you taxable annual salary is more than 1.5 lakhs for males and 1.8lakhs for females. Here are few tips which should be kept in mind before investment in any products .
- Never invest the entire amount in a single product / bank.
- Check the past track on the product / bank.
- Never give cash to the agents , always prefer cheque instead in the of the organisation / bank.
- Compare all available bank / products before making any choice. (Can be done online too)
- Make sure the entire processing is completed atleast 1 week before 31 st march , as cheques proceeded after 31 st march will not be eligible for tax benefit.
- Always ask for the lock in period , this is the period before which u cannot get your money back.
- Make sure you dont only look at the rate of returns , consider all the factors before making a choice.
- Remember , Higher Returns - Higher Risks.
- Make sure you get back all the necessary reciepts too .
- If you need to submit any of your documents , make sure you sign it and mention the purpose for which you have given the document. (So that your details are not misused)

Hyderabad: Fuel Price @ 01 Feb 2009
After this reductions the price of fuel as on 1 st February 2009 are
Current price of Diesel now in city of Hyderabad is 33.90 rupees
Finally government has announced another cut in the fuel prices after much deliberation , opposition parties term this reduction as just a political gimmick in order to attract people towards UPA government.
This has brought much relief to all the citizens of India , now every one expects prices of all basic commodities will be on downward slide . Now the common expects that government should reduce the sales tax and other taxes on the fuel prices , which will furhter reduce the burden of Aam Aadmi .
If government can't reduce the fuel prices further due to prices losses to the oil companies , should they atleast reduces the sales taxes and other taxes on fuel ?????

Sania / Bhupati : Australian Open Mixed Doubles 2009 Winners
Sania Mirza , the hyderabad hurricane along with Mahesh Bhupathi have clinched the Australian Open Mixed Doubles 2009 title with 6-3 , 6- 1 win over the French and Israeli pair of Nathalie Dechy and Andy Ram .
This was the secong time when they have reached the mixed doubles final , the only difference this year is that they have won it this time. This was the celebration time specially down here at Hyderabad and the entire India , were most of the Hyderabadi' were glued to there tv sets to get the latest .
This victory was the reply to all her crtics who claimed that she can never go beyond second round in her entire career. We hope that Sania Mriza will very soon win more grand slams and make all Hyderabadi's and Indian's more proud .
Book Movie Tickets Online : Hyderabad Multiplexes
We hyderabadi's are well know to movie buff since long time , when ever we are the first thing that crops up our mind is to watch a latest flick of shahrukh , salman or some super star . Hence the box office collection from Nizam's region (Hyderabad is still known as nizam region for box office collection) has always been over whelming response. All the multiplexes at Hyderabad like cine max , Inox , pvr cinemas , Imax , Ad labs and others most of times are house full. Apart english, hindi even telugu movies are house full most of the times. Occasionally even tamil movies are screened , huge Rajni fans are seen thronging to multiplexes when a Rajnikanth blockbuster is released.
Earlier we used to have single screen movie theatres and we used to stand in long queues to buy a ticket but currently Hyderabad os buzzing with multiplexes . Even though these multiplexes charge more still all of them are almost always house full . Well instead of going and standing in queues these days we can book movie tickets online using your credit or debit cards.

Two more new multiplexes are expected to come up at Hyderabad by 2010 , one is expected to be in place of maheshwari and parmeshwari complex near kachiguda.
