Hyderabad 20:00 , 1st May 2011: Akbaruddin Owaisi MLA of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) is undergoing treatment at Care Hospital located at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Today second surgery was performed on his abdomen to remove the remaining bullet.
A total bandh was observed in the old city of Hyderabad and partial bandh was witnessed in the remaining part of the Hyderabad. Many buses where either cancelled or diverted by RTC from the charminar area.
As per the latest Care Hospital Bulletin Akbaruddin Owaisi is in acute kidney failure and he is on dialysis. He is still receiving inotropic support to maintain his blood pressure and also continues to be on ventilator support. Huge MIM and Akbaruddin supports gathered on the busy road of Banjara Hills to get the latest health updates of the Young MIM leader inspite of being too hot climate but much to relief of many people it rained in the evening time here in Hyderabad. People who were not able to visit the hospital were found glued to TV's and checking out latest updates on channels like 4tv , HMTV , T News and other local news channels. Hyderabad Police had to barricade the road to avoid people rushing into hospital premises.
While one assailant Ibraheem Yafai was killed in the defensive firing by security guard of MIM Malakpet MLA Ahmad Bin Balala. The two other injured assailants were being treated in a local hospital under police custody.
Overall the condition of Akbaruddin Owaisi is critical and he is being continuously being monitored very closely and intensely by a team of specialist.
